As Chairman of the Supervisory Board, what is your vision for CSR?

A. B.: The men and women who make up the Supervisory Board share a common conviction: to continue growing, the company must have a positive impact on people, the planet, and society.

CSR is a real driver of performance, provided it remains grounded in the realities of the field and our business.

It translates into concrete actions that benefit all our stakeholders: our permanent and temporary employees, our customers, our partners, and our suppliers.

Our impact is built on collective momentum, commitments, and results! This principle has been the foundation of the company’s success since its inception.

Your father founded the Group Adéquat in 1987… how did it all begin?

A. B.: My father founded Adéquat in Lyon from scratch, never daring to imagine such success. For him—a simple man who was close to people—success was based on a job well done and respect for others.

In this sense, CSR has always been a cornerstone of our identity and a driving force behind our growth.

Since then, we have grown and put our four values into practice: respect for individuals, customer satisfaction, a results-oriented approach, and compliance with the law.

So is it the people who make Adéquat unique and successful?

A. B.: Absolutely. The people who join us are proud to be part of an independent family-owned group that has managed to retain a genuine sense of humility and the pioneering spirit of its early days. This mindset is reflected in the bonds we forge with our clients: long-term relationships based on trust, simplicity, and a personal touch.

As an employment services provider, we have very strong local roots and also build lasting relationships with our local partners—both public and private. This is what our mission statement expresses: we want to contribute to the growth of businesses and individuals, empowering them to act freely.

Given the size of your organization, you need to develop a structured CSR strategy. What are your top priorities?

A. B.: Our commitments naturally stem from our core business, but also from the demands placed upon us: the need to protect our planet and build a more just society.

The human and social dimension of our business is the first pillar of our CSR strategy. Our role is to promote inclusion for all through employment. We can change a person’s life by finding them the right job and contribute to the growth of a company by providing the right skills at the right time.

The second pillar concerns protecting the planet. While we certainly do not face the same challenges as a manufacturing company, it is our duty to minimize our ecological footprint for ourselves and future generations.

The third pillar reflects our commitment to exerting a positive influence beyond the company, to build a more just society. This is achieved through our professional ethics and the exemplary nature of our business practices.

We go even further by supporting numerous community projects led by associations or sports clubs, taking pride in building lasting bridges between the worlds of sports, education, culture, and business.

Adéquat is also expanding internationally. What role will CSR play in the Group Adéquat in the future?

A. B.: Our Group comprises companies that share the same convictions, the same values, and a particular commitment to the human aspect of recruitment. Our CSR initiatives are informed by local cultures.

Today, each country is encouraged to take action on the issues that matter most to it, from the fight against cancer to the professional inclusion of LGBT+ individuals. These commitments know no borders.

In the future, I am convinced that our social and environmental performance will play a decisive role for our clients and for everyone who joins us.
