At the dawn of its billion euros in turnover, Groupe Adéquat – founded by Jean-Marc BRUN in 1987 – celebrated its 30th anniversary last October. The opportunity to return to an exceptional entrepreneurial adventure, to take stock of the news of the Groupe and to detail the highlights that will mark the coming months.
A successful bet !
Adéquat is today part of the brands that rely on the temporary labor market and recruitment against heavyweights in the sector, the bet was far from won! At the age of 40, Jean-Marc Brun, after 15 years of experience in the temporary work environment, decided to become his “own boss”. It opens its first employment agency in Lyon, in the 7th arrondissement, with the main desire to find the candidate “adequate” for each job to be filled. Quite naturally, the Adéquat brand is needed. Independent family business, Adéquat has since grown in a 100% organic way! 30 years of history that have shaped a business “apart” with a strong corporate culture. This culture rests above all on the human, the consideration for the people. This consideration leads to trust and a unique commitment of employees to their company. This line of driving, Jean-Marc Brun applied it in the good ones as in the more difficult moments. It is with hindsight one of the main explanations for the success of Adéquat which has been able to make itself a place of choice in the group of “Challengers” on the French market.
International projects … but not only !
Groupe Adéquat today is almost 900 million € turnover, 1000 employees and several complementary brands to cover the entire HR topic at its customers. It is also an exceptional growth that makes it the best performer on the market for 3 years. Group projects for tomorrow? They are 3 orders. The first is to continue growing. This will involve the consolidation of its national network but also an acceleration of its international development. The Group has already crossed borders by opening 5 branches in Belgium. 2018 will see the deployment of the scope to other countries in Europe and beyond. The second part of the projects to come, win the challenge of digitalization. Know how to be innovative to provide additional services and comfort to its customers and temporary staff and develop differentiating actions to facilitate the recruitment of candidates. Finally the third and not least, succeed all its challenges by maintaining its DNA, the corporate culture that makes its difference, carried by its slogan “Simplement pour vous”. To do so, Governance has been aligned. Jean-Marc Brun is now Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Groupe, and has handed over the operational torch to a Management Board represented by Philippe Guichard (Chairman), Jérôme Rieux (Chief Executive Officer), Arnaud Brun (Chief Operating Officer) and Martine Truc (Director Financière) which works in the permanent concern to respect the fundamentals that made the success of the Group.
30 years, it’s celebrating!
True to its culture, which emphasizes the importance of its employees, Groupe Adéquat has chosen to celebrate this symbolic anniversary as a priority. They were all invited to a celebration weekend at Disneyland Paris on October 6th, 7th and 8th. On the program: a cocktail on Friday evening to welcome the more than 800 participants from all over France and Belgium, free access to the park to enjoy the attractions during the day of Saturday and an unforgettable evening with a convention hosted by Jean- Marc Brun and the members of the Management Board, followed by a privatized party in the Disney studios. It was a memorable start to other upcoming celebrations throughout the year, engaging clients, agency workers, partners and collaborators again. Many surprises in perspective!
