[PARTNERSHIP] Tony Parker announces his retirement for new adventures

Tony Parker, France’s most successful basketball export and a four-time champion with the San Antonio Spurs (2003, 2005, 2007, 2014) has announced his retirement after 18 seasons in NBA on Monday 10.

Tony Parker spent his whole career in NBA with the Spurs, except his final season with the Charlotte Hornets; he was the Finals MVP in 2007, the first European to receive the award,  and he won a lot in France too, conquering four medals including a European Champion title in 2013.

Tony Parker, 37 years old, made the announcement by Twitter in both English and French and wrote that he “never thought I would live all those unbelievable moments with the N.B.A. and the French national team.” He is for sure a basketball legend who made the Dream of NBA reachable to many young Europeans players!

With the retirement a new promising lifetime is opening for the French basketball player: Tony Parker is president of ASVEL Basket, a French basketball team based in Lyon and the founder of Tony Parker Adéquat Academy.

This Academy based in Lyon allows passionate young people to build their life project with the promise of a job at the completion of their studies. The partnership with Groupe Adéquat, cofounder of this amazing project, will guarantee a professional development paths to all the students attending the Academy.

All this suggests that we will soon see Tony Parker on the basketball courts; this time it will be in Gerland, Lyon, together with the students of the Tony Parker Adéquat Academy.
